I’m Here To Help With

Low Self-esteem & Anxiety

Low self-esteem and anxiety can result from many different experiences. Sometimes you don't feel like you fit in and are afraid to speak up in social situations for fear of being judged. This can lead to social isolation and feelings of worthlessness.

Let's talk about it and find a way forward. I work from a
strengths-based and empowerment model to support improved
boundary-setting and self-advocacy.

Autism / ADHD

Individuals with autism, Asperger’s, or ADHD are often successful at their jobs or in subjects of interest in school, yet find themselves feeling unable to ‘fit in’ and feel socially isolated. I have experience helping neurodivergent teens and adults gain an understanding their unique strengths and challenges, learn social skills, emotion regulation, and improved functioning. I work with clients achieve improved social interactions at school, work, with friends, and family. I provide coaching to parents struggling with the challenges neurodiversity presents.

Relationship Coaching

Perhaps your relationships feel conflictual and stressful lately. Or, mayble you’re facing a personal, family, or occupational crisis and seek guidance from a professional to deal with your heightened emotional and relational stress that’s interfering with your family, work, or social relationships. Let’s work together to navigate a way forward.

Depression

Have you lost your motivation and find it difficult to enjoy things you used to? Or, maybe you feel intense sadness, emotional burnout, overwhelm, have changes in appetite, feel low-energy, and experience a general feeling of hopelessness--like things will ‘never get better’. There is help, you don’t need to suffer alone.

Or, maybe you feel intense sadness, emotional burnout, overwhelm, have changes in appetite, feel low-energy, and experience a general feeling of hopelessness--like things will ‘never get better’. Individual Therapy

Do you seek to discover insights to better understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors? I am a strengths-based therapist who engages clients with a warm and collaborative approach, allowing for trust to develop and life-changing insights to be gained, improve boundary-setting and self-advocacy, and begin your journey to improved mental health and well-being.

Family Therapy & Coaching

Designed to help with issues affecting families' mental health and functioning to help family members build stronger connections and improve communication, resulting in reduced conflict at home and increased family harmony. It is often short-term and may include all family members or just those able or willing to participate.

Telehealth Sessions

Online telehealth sessions are provided through a secure a HIPAA compliant platform. Telehealth therapy allows clients and families to receive the same quality care as they would in an office setting, while in the comfort of their own home and on a client’s own schedule. Many clients find this more convenient. In-person sessions can be arranged, please inquire if this is your preference.

What Are The Benefits Of Therapy?

Feeling Less Alone

We often feel hesitant to share our feelings and struggles with those closest to us. Having someone ‘outside’ of a situation who doesn’t judge you but rather allows freedom for you to talk about things you might typically hold
inside can help you feel
less alone and isolated.

Better Coping

Sharing feelings in the safety of a therapeutic setting helps you gain improved insight on relationship dynamics and personal struggles. I work in collaboration with clients to provide a safe and nurturing environment to support a client’s discovery of the self-limiting thoughts and behaviors that get in the way of enjoying life more fully.

Improved Physical Well-being

Therapy offers many benefits, including improved physical well-being. Many clients report having more energy, improved sleep, and a more hopeful outlook as a result of therapy. Even making small changes can significantly impact the trajectory of your life in a positive way!

Frequently Asked Questions

The therapeutic process is a relational one and finding a therapist you ‘connect with’ with is important. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to make sure we’re a good fit. I am happy to discuss your goals and answer any questions you may have about my therapeutic approach.

You can prepare for your first session by completing your client history and intake forms prior to the first session, online. We will spend the first few minutes of our first session going over paperwork and discussing informed consent so you are aware of your rights as well as my policies and procedures. Once that is out of the way, I will then work with you to understand your areas of concern and goals for therapy and we can begin to develop a plan to meet your goals.

I am an out of network provider. I can provide a monthly superbill for you to submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. Payment is made by clients at the time of service or through the online scheduler before the appointment. Please inquire with your insurance company regarding their rates of reimbursement, if any. It is the client’s responsibility to understand their insurance policy, rates of reimbursement, and if pre-authorization is required. Please note that I do not provide on-call or crisis services and will not respond in an emergency, in that case please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

No Surprises Act
Under the No Surprises Act, you are entitled to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of what the charges could be for the services provided to you. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate prior to scheduling a service. If you receive a bill for at least $400 more than your GFE, you may dispute or appeal the bill. It is not possible for a therapist to know, in advance, how many sessions may be necessary or appropriate upon the initiation of therapy. Your total cost of services will depend upon the number of sessions you attend and your individual circumstances. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, go to www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Once an appointment is scheduled, you will be expected to pay for the session unless you provide 24-hour notice prior to your scheduled appointment. I do my best to be understanding when emergencies ‘out of your control’ arise.

This depends on several factors and it varies with each person. Your level of motivation and willingness to apply what is learned and insights gained during our sessions will have an influence on the number of sessions needed to accomplish your stated goals.
